Civil Engineer - Entry Level

Responsibilities May Include:

 

· Assisting with the design and preparation of road, sanitary sewer, water,  storm water drainage, and grading plans

· Assisting with the design and preparation of retail/commercial/industrial site plans and residential subdivision plans

· Performing storm water drainage calculations and reports

· Organize, process and evaluate data using spreadsheets and engineering software  

· Assisting in the preparation of applications for municipal, state, and federal permits. 

· Preparation of construction cost estimates

Education / Experience Requirements:

 

· Qualified candidate must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering   or

· A minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in preparing subdivision and site development projects

Skill Requirements:

 

· In addition to being enthusiastic about working in the field of commercial and residential development, a qualified individual should have the following skills:

 

· Good communication skills, both orally and written

· Ability to work independently and manage time, as well as work as part of a team

· Be able to pay attention to details

· Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Experience with AutoCAD Land Desktop 2005 is a plus
